Dear Tumblr @staff,
By disabling users the ability to link to sites like ManyVids and other cam/clip sites you are taking away one of the few resources we have to promote our content. While Tumblr is already full of illegally pirated porn many independent producers like myself rely on tumblr to support ourselves. Similarly to how you now advertise to all over Tumblr to support yourself as a business the community of independent producers advertises here because we need to make a living. There’s absolutely no reason to target an already heavily marginalized group and disrupt the activity of our work which is entirely legal and follows your TOS. If you allow for NSFW content on tumblr and allow for people to link and promote their work for merchandise like clothing, art, etc. there’s no reason to not allow people to promote the NSFW content they create. Please reconsider this change so we can continue being a part of Tumblr.

If you would like to help support independent porn producers feel free to copy what’s above and send it to Support
Tumblr @staff has started blocking the ability to link to cam sites and clip stores. This will have detrimental effects for independant sex workers whose income is dependant on traffic from social media.
It’ll have been done under the guise of preventing spam blogs and advertising on personal blogs but links to sites like Etsy, Shopify, Depop etc remain. This unfairly targets sex work.
This will have a significant impact on the income of a lot of people I know, if you have 5 minutes to email support to express your concern, please do so.
